Ranga Hari alias R. Hari aka Hariettan or Hariji is one of the tallest national leaders of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. His 66 years long Sangh pracharak life is the most authentic testimony of his caliber. He started the organizational career as a Pracharak of R.S.S in 1951 and still continues in the same position. In the seven decades long organizational life he shouldered responsibilities from taluk to district to state to national hierarchies. ‘Akhil Bharatiya Boudhik Pramukh’ was the last responsibility he held. As the head of the intellectual department of RSS his sterlling contribution towards the development of its ideological zone is a perpetual asset for the movement. He can speak and write several languages including Hindi, English, Marathi, Malayalam, Konkani, Sanskrit, Assamese, Gujarati, Tamil etc. Obviously his literary works are in different languages. One of his most important contributions is “Shree Guruji Samagra” (12 Volumes), compilation of more than 25,000 letters lat Guruji Golwalkar had penned to thousands of people in English, Hindi and Marathi. He accom- plished the task with the help of a few elite personalities in Nagpur. His work was in Hindi; later on it was translated into all regional languages. “Awake! Awake! Great India” is the collection of quotable quotes from Bhagini Nivedita’s complete literary works. Subject wise compiling from a literature where the author’s ideas are spread over more than tow thousand and five hundred pages is really a Himalayan achievement. Shri Hariji has executed it within a short span of time.
